Ricky Summers

Commander ~ Ricky Summers

Ricky Summers was born in State College, PA on Oct 03, 1972. I joined the Air Force in Nov 1991; in April 1992 I was stationed here at Mountain Home AFB and retired from the Air Force Jan 2013. I joined Elmore County Search & Rescue in Sept 2008 and have enjoyed all the training and SAR missions to help rescue lost and injured subjects. I was elected ECSAR Commander (SAR 1) January 2013. I am an avid outdoors man while enjoying hunting, fishing, ATV's, UTV's, motorcycling, hiking, snowmobiling, and camping. I enjoy my time with this great organization. The best part of our organization is that all members are volunteers which makes this unit unique. We have a very diverse county with every style of terrain imaginable from desert to rivers and rolling hills to 10,000 ft mountain peaks. We have many different sizes of water reservoirs from ponds to 3 different dams, streams and even the mighty Snake River. If you get lost in Elmore County we will find you.

Des joined SAR in 2016. She immediately embraced the mission, responding to every training and search that she could.

Her dedication made her an obvious choice to be appointed as the SAR 6 Liaison when the position first became vacant. Mike Lewis

QuarterMaster ~ Mike Lewis:

I grew up in a small town outside of Athens, Georgia. During my senior year of high school in 1992, I joined our local fire-rescue organization. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1997 and went into Electrical Power Production. During my 23 years in the military, I served on combat search and rescue teams, and performed search and recovery missions as well. I retired from the Air Force from Mountain Home AFB in 2019.

My family and I loved the area and everything outdoors that Idaho has to offer and decided to stay. I can be found riding my ATV on any of our trail systems throughout the state, on the lake fishing, or in the mountains hunting. I joined SAR in 2022. Shortly after, the Quartermaster position became open, and I accepted the appointment. I love being a part of ECSAR and being able to give back to our community.

Secretary ~ David Hallinan (SAR 3)
